Indian PharmEasy Sets Target to Raise up to $1B
India is booming in ePharmacy. The Indian unicorn, which is listed this month at position 13 at the ePharmacy Data Database as the fastest growing ePharmacy based on average monthly visits, is contemplating a $1B capital raising in Mumbai. So far, PharmEasy has served over 5M families by delivering more than 15M items. Moreover, this June, the company invested $611M for a majority stake in Thyrocare Technologies Ltd.

Boots Launches On-Demand Delivery trial with Deliveroo
Boots, the largest pharmaceutical supplier in the UK, will become the latest major retailer to offer its items through Deliveroo. This agreement means that users may purchase medications and medical products for milder diseases. Also among 400 goods originally accessible from UK-owned boots are make-up, toiletries, baby products, and snacks.

Shop Apotheke Boosts Sales by 15% in H1 2021
The company boosted its revenues by 15% to €534M in H1 ‘21, compared to €465M in H1 ’20. What drew this growth was an increase in active consumers by 30%, bringing their user base to over 7.1M, all from organic sources. The company’s evolution to Europe's leading customer-centric ePharmacy platform is on track, as the Management Board anticipates sales growth of 10%-15% in 2021.

Chemist2U is an 18-months old Australian online start-up following an order on-demand approach and aiming to become the Uber Eats of community pharmacy. With an exceptional month-on-month growth of 70% to 100%, it has already partnered with over 200 pharmacies. The company strives to provide same-day delivery of most Rx and OTCs medications in cities and regional hubs.
