The European Association of ePharmacies (EAEP), which has members from 11 European countries, repositioned its mission in 2021 to focus on policy issues like the Digital Services Act, the European Health Data Space, and the revision of Pharmaceutical Legislation to ensure the quality of patient service and data security. The EAEP's principal goal has been to guarantee that the ePharmacy industry is heard and that its needs are represented in new EU and state legal frameworks.

New ePharmacy Malls Are Constantly Being Introduced in Korea!
As new online malls for pharmacies are continually being developed after the pandemic outbreak, Korean JW Pharmaceutical launched 'JWSHOP,' an eCommerce platform, dedicated to pharmacies, with a wide product range that includes OTC meds along many other products. Kwangdong Pharmaceutical will also launch 'KD-Shop,' an online mall for pharmacists, which intends to serve not only OTC meds, but also overseas pharmaceuticals and quasi-drugs (Japanese term for products that fall in between cosmetics and pharmaceuticals).

Could Brazilian-based B2B ePrescription System Provider Nexodata’s New ePharmacy Skyrocket the Business?
Brazilian ePrescription system provider Nexodata, which operates on a B2B basis for the past 5 years, providing hospitals, clinics, and technology businesses with systems that allow them to issue ePrescriptions, decided to scale up its business by allowing patients to buy medicines as soon as they got their prescription. The buying alternatives are accessible via a link in the prescription itself, with the delivery times for some meds being only 45 minutes. To illustrate this new venture, the company decided to rebrand and change its name to Mevo!
