DocMorris Was the Only ePharmacy to Receive a Good Rating in Germany for Its Mail-Order Services!

Patients who know what medication they need and are aware of any potential health hazards can save money and time by obtaining it online. There is no personal consultation, though. Stiftung Warentest conducted a test in German ePharmacies to see what issues and risks they entail.  DocMorris was the only mail-order pharmacy to receive a "good" rating out of the total 11 ePharmacies tested. According to the results, even the best ePharmacy has to improve its data security and medication risk protection services.

UK-based PillSorted, a personalised delivery pharmacy service, has acquired $6M in seed funding to provide a personalised means of providing medication to patients while laying the groundwork for the future of ePharmacy treatment. The company's proprietary technology delivers timely medication to the many thousands of patients, improving treatment quality, reducing pharmacist workloads, and boosting NHS efficiency. PillSorted seeks to relieve pharmacists of the administrative load of manually sorting prescriptions.

Which Are Russia’s Top 10 ePharmacies?

According to new research from Russian Data Insight, Apteka.ru ranked 1st among Russian ePharmacies in terms of drug sales last year, with sales of 59.3B rubles. Eapteka and ZdravCity ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Their individual sales totaled 15.5B rubles and 9.1B rubles, respectively. Planeta Zdorovo (8B rubles), Rigla (7.1B rubles), Apteka Minicen (6.6B rubles), Apteki Plus (5.4B rubles), Monastirev (4.8B rubles), Apteki Stolichki (4.7B rubles), Apteka April (4.2B rubles) followed in the ranking.

Is There a Risk of ePharmacy Price Increases in the UK?

Due to current medical shortages in the UK, prices for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication have skyrocketed, with some ePharmacies offering these medications for three times their actual worth. Carolyn Harris, a Labour MP, plans to "name and shame" several ePharmacies whose HRT medicine prices have risen due to stock shortages. Could ePharmacies raise the prices of all their products in the future as their popularity grows among consumers?

US-based CVS Health Flourished with 44M Unique Online Customers Due to Its Digital-Driven Strategy!

At the end of the first quarter, US healthcare giant CVS Health served 44M new clients through its digital channels after forming a new strategy focused on eCommerce. According to CEO Karen Lynch, the company has generated more than 7M unique users since its December investor day. She claims that digital customers interact with CVS in an "omnichannel" approach and visit CVS Health twice as often as traditional customers. CVS Health also announced a profit of $2.3B in the first quarter, exceeding Wall Street's projections.
