Mexican ePharmacies Could Save US Citizens Up-to $1K Per Year Due to Their Cheaper Prices!
According to a recent study, thousands of Americans travel to Mexico for cheaper pharmaceuticals. This is also true for online medications, which are 40% less expensive than those sold in the US. According to the US Food and Drug Administration, customers can purchase medications from Mexico and have them distributed to them in the US, if they are for personal use. The study also showed that US customers might save more than $1K per year by purchasing Rx meds online from Mexican ePharmacies.

US-Based Capital Rx Receives $106M to Boost JUDI Its Unifying ePharmacy Platform
US-Based pharmacy benefits Capital Rx has secured a $106M Series C fund to improve and expand its ePharmacy platform. Capital Rx's mission is to not just reduce the costs, but also to design the electronic infrastructure to process claims, with JUDI, a platform for claims adjudication, authorization, data interchange, claims reporting, invoicing and payment. It supports faster and more effective prescription processing for its users by facilitating real-time communication across physicians, pharmacists, patients, and insurers.

African BusyMed, strives to provide exceptional, affordable healthcare to everyone, via their app. The company plans to feature 250 established pharmacies from all 9 provinces across Africa. Presently it handles 50-60 unique orders per day, with the recent onboarding of over 250 pharmacies projected to increase this to 200-300 orders. According to the start-up's Managing Director, the new digital era necessitates a collaboration and a patient-centric approach to maintain a viable pharma business model.

Will India's Reliance Bid to Acquire Boots Pharmacy in the United Kingdom?
India-based Reliance and Apollo Global Management, are planning to make a £5B bid for UK-based Boots, with Walgreens Boots Alliance retaining an undefined minority interest as part of the sale. Reliance Industries is planning to enter the pharmaceutical and cosmetics retail market by acquiring this UK-based pharmacy. Boots has been expanding in both the online and offline channels, with the first's sales increasing by 60% compared to pre-Covid levels and now accounting for more than 15% of total retail sales.

Brazilian Raia Drogasil Boosts Its Last-Mile Delivery Through a Partnership with Uber!
Brazilian Raia Drogasil and Uber have partnered to provide speedy deliveries via Uber Direct, a solution that leverage Uber's driver and delivery partner base to establish a network of same-day deliveries. The pharmacy chain now depends on all of Uber's technology for better integration at these sites in order to automate, expedite, and accelerate its delivery services. As online sales grow, in S1 2022, 10% of sales were made through digital channels, with Buy and Collect orders accounting for 52% of those.
