The Starting of Online Rx Meds Sales in Lithuania Will Become a Reality Very Soon!
After almost 6 years, in Lithuania, efforts to sell online Rx meds in ePharmacies have nearly finished, but the launch has yet been delayed. According to the head of the Lithuanian Pharmaceutical Association, practical testing has begun, but there is still a long way to go before the actual online sales to begin. The functionality of the Register Center for ePharmacies is currently being tested and the participating pharmacies are actively performing the necessary work in their systems so that they can smoothly "cooperate" with the eHealth system.

Despite the fact that Russians purchase in both ePharmacies and online hypermarkets, the share of the audience in ePharmacies has decreased, causing an increase in online hypermarkets. According to this year’s data, the share of the audience of eShops increased to 14% in Q1 2022, up from 11% the previous year. MedznMore, a Pakistan-based ePharmacy selling drugs to both pharmacies and retail customers, boosted its goal of providing easy access to healthcare services in developing countries through fundraising in the country's largest funding round for a health-care company. This will allow the business to expand services and hire more engineering talent. Investors in the pre-Series A round included Integra Partners, Sturgeon Capital and Nunc Gestion.
