China’s Rx ePharmacy Sales Are Expected to Soar in the Coming Years
According to a Boston Consulting research, the annual compound growth rate of epharmacy sales of prescription medicines reached 53% between 2015 and 2020. In particular, the growth rate between 2019 and 2020 was as high as 79%. Additionally, the market volume is expected to reach $3.7B by 2020. With the increase in online consultations and omnichannel experiences, it is projected that online purchases of Rx pharmaceuticals will continue to develop rapidly in the future.

Canada Works to Stop the Online Sale of Counterfeit Medicines and Medical Supplies
Health Canada is alerting the general public to the prevalence of illegal online sales of medications, natural health products, and medical equipment. To stop the online distribution of fake or illicit health items, Health Canada worked with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canada Border Services Agency. Health Canada examined 1666 parcels during the week of June 23–30, denied entrance to 964 items, and confiscated 338 packages at the border that included possible fake or illegal medications.

Boom: 31.4% of Brazilian Consumers Are Already Using ePharmacies to Acquire Their Needed Medication
In the last three years, the Brazilian usage of the internet and applications for purchasing pharmaceuticals has surged especially in the Southeast area, particularly in the capital city of São Paulo, where 50% of customers claim to be making online purchases, based on a CVA Solutions study. Consumers mostly utilize Droga Raia, Drogasil and Ultrafarma as their ePharmacies. The country’s average percentage of online pharmaceutical sales is 31.4%.

Stiftung Warentest Names DocMorris As Germany’s No1 ePharmacy Provider
Stiftung Warentest in Germany evaluated 11 ePharmacies' websites, services, and online guidance. Even Docmorris, the "test winner," received a meager "good," as all ePharmacies perform poorly in the virtual consultancy area. Medpex and Sanicare, respectively, earned 2nd and 3rd place. Arzneimittel-per-klick.de and Apotal.de, both failed the test and received the final 2 places. It appears that German ePharmacies still need to make significant improvements to their services.

Which Country Dominates the Online Pharmacy Sales Ecosystem According to Klarna?
According to Klarna's study, 46% of Swedish consumers purchase meds. The percentage among women is significantly higher as 51% of Swedish female consumers buy medications via online sources, compared to 41% of male consumers. In contrast, males buy medications online more frequently than women in the US, Finland, and the Netherlands. Finally, France has the least Rx meds online sales with only 12% of French customers buying through online sources.
