Is MonOrdo the Digital Shift French ePharmacies Needed?
Despite the fact that eCommerce and online services have infiltrated our everyday lives, many people are still reliant on physical pharmacies for medicines and guidance. MonOrdo is a Toulouse-based company that intends to create a digital revolution in pharmacy through a new unified approach to drug selection. This new initiative aims to prevent non-French pharmacies from joining the market. As the MonOrdo app is quite similar to Amazon, we cannot help it but wonder for how long it will be able to "ban" the eRetail giant from the French market.

Greek ePharmacies Surging with a +39% Growth in the First 9 Months of 2021
According to Convert Group, the eMarket Intelligence company, the ePharmacy segment in Greece is following the worldwide trends and is growing at a +27% rate in sales value during Q3 '21 vs Q3 '20 and at a +31% in the first 9 months of 2021. Personal care products are the most prevalent items in consumer baskets, and Google Ads was the most influential channel, accounting for 38% of total orders. We are all curious on how the ePharmacy industry will develop globally in the next few months.

Which European Business Group Acquired Spanish ePharmacy Dosfarma?
Dosfarma, one of the largest eCommerce in Spain in terms of turnover, is now incorporated into the Atida company. Despite the fact that the Spanish Mifarma was also acquired by the corporation in 2019, the two ePharmacies will retain their independence with their own management teams. Atida intends to extend its group, solidify its presence in Spain, and take over a part of the market in order to position itself as the leading firm in the sector. We'll simply have to wait and see what further acquisitions Atida has planned.

Is the Court Rejecting ePharmacy DocMorris' Latest Initiative?
The Dutch ePharmacy DocMorris' latest project was installing a vending machine for pharmacy-only medications. In 2017, the ePharmacy experimented with this concept by running a machine in a closed pharmacy, from which clients could collect their medications after video-contacting a pharmacist. Unfortunately, the legislation specifies that pharmacy and Rx medications can only be sold in a pharmacy or by a way of licensed distribution and thus the court denied DocMorris' request for vending machines. What a great omni-channel innovation this could have been!

UK’s Superdrug is Offering a 2-Hour Delivery Service!
The UK's Superdrug has boosted its omnichannel experience by offering 2-hour home delivery. According to the company, the service will allow customers to order online their favorite supplies straight from local stores ahead of the busy holiday shopping season. The service, driven by Stuart, enables for quick delivery within a maximum of two hours, and will be available from £5.50 within a two-mile radius of the specified retailer. We cannot wait to do our Christmas shopping there!
