Czech Dr. Max Skyrocketed Its ePharmacy Business with a 32% Y-o-Y Expansion in 2021!
The Dr. Max pharmacy network generated a total of 22.6B crowns in sales last year, with 1.9B representing online medicine dispensing. This reflects a 7% Y-o-Y increase. Dr.Max will introduce new online features this year, including same-day delivery of medicines across the country and the commissioning of dispensing boxes. According to the company's CEO, the ePharmacy recorded 2.5M transactions during the same time period and maintained it's position as a market leader with nearly a 40% share.

The US Government Cracks Down on ePharmacy Prescribing Practices: The Case of Amazon Pharmacy
The US federal government is cracking down on the dispensing procedures of ePharmacies. As a result, Amazon's digital pharmacy, PillPack, is expected to pay the US government nearly $6M to settle overbilling charges. Because of the most recent incidents, the government intends to investigate ePharmacies' prescribing practices. Amazon Pillpack's lawsuit is unlikely to affect the company, which plans to develop its virtual care business (Amazon Care) to complement PillPack this year.
