The Austrian Pharmacists' Association Launches New Marketplace for OTC Medicines
The Austrian Pharmacists' Association has launched a new online shop, "unsere-apotheken.at," which provides a digital marketplace for OTC meds from Austrian pharmacies. The website enables customers to order products from their favorite pharmacy with just a few clicks and either have them delivered or pick them up themselves. The initiative aims to strengthen local pharmacies' role as suppliers and fill the remaining gap in the online market. The website is currently being advertised to pharmacies, with 71 currently registered, and plans for a nationwide platform are in place.

The UK’s General Pharmaceutical Council Has Issued a Warning That 31% of ePharmacies Are Failing to Meet Standards
The UK’s General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) has reported that 84% of physical pharmacies are meeting its standards, but 31% of ePharmacies are failing to meet regulatory standards. This has worsened since May, when 85% of all pharmacies inspected by the regulator were meeting its standards. 3 in 10 of the GPhC's fitness-to-practise (FtP) caseload regards professionals working within online settings, and overprescribing and prescribing outside the individual's scope of practice are among the failures.
